Before You Apply
To be eligible for certification, you must:
✓ Be a current WASBO member in good standing
✓ Be currently employed in a school district, ESD, or related agency
✓ Have completed the required coursework and clock hours for the certification
track you are applying for
✓ Be prepared to submit supporting documentation, including a supervisor
recommendation and signed standards of conduct
Application Fee
- $50 per certification track
What Happens After I Apply?
- Submit your application and supporting documents.
- WASBO staff will review your application for completeness.
- If additional information is needed, staff will contact you.
- Completed applications are reviewed by the Certification Governance Board.
- Applicants will be notified of the board's decision following the review meeting.
Certification Term
Once approved, your certification is valid for five years and may be renewed through continued professional development.
