WASBO's Introduction to School Accounting course is designed to provide students with the base knowledge needed of governmental accounting as it is applied in the school district environment. Additionally, this course establishes a foundation needed to succeed in WASBO's School Accounting 1, School Accounting 2 and School Accounting 3 classes.
Course content will primarily focus on modified accrual accounting, account types, an introduction of debits and credits, the accounting equation and journal entries. Curriculum also to include:

Successful completion of Introduction to School Accounting qualifies for fifteen (15) clock hour/CPE credit hours.
Please note that in the event of an unsuccessful completion or withdrawal from the course, WASBO will report to the registrant's supervisor to review student progress.
