Pdf Summary
This quick reference card explains how students use Google Classroom in G Suite. To sign in, go to classroom.google.com, click Go to Classroom, then enter your Google account email and password. After signing in, you arrive at the Classroom home page, where your profile picture may appear in the upper-right corner. Students can join a class in two ways: (1) if a teacher invites you, click Join on the class tile shown on the Classroom page; or (2) if you receive a class code, click Join a class, enter the code, and click Join. Google Classroom connects to Google Drive automatically. A Classroom folder is created in your Drive at drive.google.com to store class-related files. The document also clarifies commenting: class comments are visible to everyone in the class, while private comments are visible only to the teacher. The main Class screen is organized into three tabs: - Stream: shows class activity, including teacher posts, student posts, and upcoming due assignments. - Classwork: where you view and complete assignments. - People: lists the teacher and classmates. On an assignment page, students can see instructions, due dates, attached teacher files, assignment status, and options to attach additional files and turn in work. It distinguishes between public comments (visible to the class) and teacher-only comments. After you turn in an assignment, the submitted document becomes view-only for you because ownership shifts to the teacher to prevent changes. If allowed by the teacher, you can click Unsubmit to regain editing rights and make updates before the due date. Finally, if grades are enabled, students can view assignment statuses and grades by going to Classwork → View your work.
